I will join you soon and looking for thousands or perhaps millions of others across the United States to join you in OUR efforts to force Wal-Mart do do what they should have done long ago. Wal-Mart Chairman of the Board of Directors David Glass and his board members has failed to do. Therefore, we must do it for or mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and coming generations of American Workers. Please, join an unending movement towards total workers rights even in the State of Georgia where you can be fired for good cause, bad cause, or for no cause at all.

This Black Informant is nothing new.  However I would like to ask that the NAACP, SCLC, Urban League, Operation Push, Congress, Senate, Governors, and all Americans of good will make an immediate appeal to REQUEST that FBI Director's name "Hoover" be REMOVED from the FBI Headquarters Building and replaced with Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., or Former United States President Anybody.

But Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., is more of a true representative of what the FBI should be all about. Therefore until this happens; the American People should reject the mind set that the FBI, all states (I's), are not fair and just in its dealing with the American People.

We must make change for change will not JUST come forth without us.  Lastly:  We are not who we claim to be as a nation; but who we prove ourselves to be over a given period of time.  Peace, love, justice and the American way!  God Bless everybody.

Kay Harris Valdosta Daily Times Editor Refused to Meet With Citizens of Our Beloved Community. "However we "NEVER"refused to meet with her; because WE respect her as a human being......

Times Editor "KAY HARRIS" refused to meet with Local Citizens; as if they are not American Citizens with rights and should be listened to.  This is what one would expect in the 1800s but surely NOT in 2010.

We are beyond that type of Southern mentality and we respect even a dog, cat, rat, cow, pig, or any other of God created being to be heard as we ourselves; would want to be.  She used her power as editor; but we are 100% sure that in the end TRUTH, and RIGHT will win in the end and history is complete with many of these examples and this will be no different.

Editor Kay Harris is the professional and should be fully aware that people who know about FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, and FEE SPEECH will not be ignored.  If she believe this will END by her refusing to meet with us; she is 100% wrong.  The editor must understand that; “"We are not who we claim to be; but who we prove ourselves to be over a given period of time."

The link below will show that we are NOT restricted to the South Georgia Area.  Moreover both of us are scheduled to be on two different television stations outside of his area in early 2011----to do what we do.  One subject of discussion will  be how we were denied to speak with the editor of our only Daily Newspaper.

The following information was brought before Valdosta City Mayor John Fretti and City Council on December 9, 2010.  However your local television, newspapers, and radio stations “DID NOT” find it NECESSARY to inform you!  This is an (HONEST) attempt to bridge the gap and keep the “General Public” fully informed.  It is your right to know what takes place at Public Meetings here in the State of Georgia---under our form of GOVERNMENT.  If you agree or disagree please post (your) comments on my Blog http://kvci.blogspot.com “Keeping Valdosta Citizens Informed.”

Moreover our local government officials inform some citizens on 105.9 FM and other conservative radio stations (BOTH) before and after each PUBLIC MEETING. However they leave the majority of citizens deaf; dumb; and blind to the times; and unable to make intelligent decision based on facts that are presented at Public Meetings here in the State of Georgia.  This should be of major concern to all citizens of in our beloved community.

Good Afternoon!  I am Phyllis Stallworth.  I reside at ADDRESS… and I am the 1^st Vice President of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Branch of the NAACP.  I am here tonight because I am greatly concerned that the minority community in our city is becoming our city waste material. 

v      I am concerned that when we bring the Biomass Plant and situate it in our community.  That it is an Environmental Justice Community.  That will say to the people in that community.  That we do not take your consideration, your health!  We do not put that into our minds, and when you are making decisions for the city. 

v      We have one of the best City Managers in the State of Georgia; I believe which is awesome for Valdosta.  Valdosta is a great city and I want to be here.  I also want to be healthy here.  I want to be certain that whenever we voted for you all.  That we voted for clean energy jobs.  We voted that you all would have our health in mind.  We voted that you would have our children and grandchildren on your mind.

v      We are asking you; that you NOT sell water to this plant!  That you say to Sterling Plant.  That we don’t want your plant in Valdosta. You can find another location; maybe out on a hill top somewhere; in the desert somewhere; but not for the citizens here in our beloved community.

v      I am just disturbed that Valdosta is NOT bringing in opportunity for them.  Not bringing in opportunity to our small business minority auterpernuer.  But death; we bring in through waste and we don’t want that.  We don’t want to send a message.  That we are concerned most about energy; whether it’s harmful or not, and that it will be suitable for Valdosta because it will bring in money.  Now twenty jobs compared to twenty healthy people; I think is a little absurd. Then we are talking about millions of dollars to bring them here. 

v      I announce that we put our minority community on your mind.  You put the minority community in your plans.  Two thousand and eleven is coming.  Let’s start planning right.  Let’s not keep our young men and women on the side of the streets without opportunity.  It’s disheartening to see; that other people are coming into their community, getting jobs and opportunity.  And they are thinking; my dad is a carpenter.  My dad is a painter.  He could have done that.  Why couldn’t he have done that?  Why couldn’t my dad have built on that Lowndes County Resource Building?”  Why couldn’t my dad; have painted that apartment building in his own community?  Why could not; we have done that? 

v      So now I ask you tonight.  That you start putting all citizens on your mind.  We can adopt a project tonight where you can involve a grass root organization.  Who knows better about our communities than our grass roots organizations?  Let’s get together sometimes.  Let’s work something out; and adopt the project. 

v      No citizen left behind.  Adopt a project; that mass destruction will not come into our city to destroy our community.  Let’s adopt this project.  I am Phyllis Stallworth, the First Vice President of the Valdosta and Lowndes County Branch of the NAACP!  Thank you!  LOUD APPLAUSE FOLLOWED!

MY NAME IS GEORGE BOSTON RHYNES, and I live at XXXX, Valdosta, Georgia XXXXX.  I commend Councilman Norton on his win to the council.  And I hope he will “REPRESENT” all of the people and NOT just to CONSERVATIVES on their local radio stations while the majority of CITIZENS and VOTERS are deliberately or UNINTENTIONALLY ignored.  As if they do not exist; and this pattern and practice has existed for several years without objection from members of local governmental bodies-----with no change in site. 

v      It is my desire to see (ALL) council members that approve of this UNEQUAL PRACTICE through their silence on the issues; to be removed from the council.  This morning Councilman Carroll represented you all well; and provided information to CONVERVATIVE listeners that others were not privy to.  This was done on 105.9 FM Frank Barnas Conservative Talk Show and this is a radio station that often condemns the Commander-In-Chief of our sons and daughters (NOW) serving on foreign battlefields with their lives on the line---in defense of our beloved nation.

v      Mr. Mayor and Council!  We have been informed that the “VALDOSTA and LOWNDES COUNTY RAINWATER CONFERENCE CENTER” is once again allegedly “DISCRIMINATING” against BLACKS in its hiring practices.  This was a major point of “DISCUSSION” back in 2005; I believe it was.  However we are told that APPLICANTS, EMPLOYEES, MANAGERS, and ALLEGED VICTIMS; along with LOCAL NEWS MEDIA OUTLETS; are aware of these complaints of discrimination and the “EEOC” have been contacted----we were told.  Yet!  The general public knows nothing about these problems due to a local WHITEOUT media.  Additionally we have been told that local news media have been “FULLY” notified but NOTHING has been published to the general public!

v      Apparently!  There is an asserted effort to keep the general public deaf, dumb, and blind and unable to make intelligent decisions based on information from public meetings that takes place in our community.  An example of this was a few meetings ago; “when a local Council Member was asked to turn in their RESIGNATION, “for allegedly NOT representing the “CITIZENS” of that particular district.   Again it seems that our “Local News Media Outlets” wanted to keep CITIZENS, Deaf, Dumb, and Blind to what took place at that “Public Meeting” in the State of Georgia in our Metropolitan Metropolis.  Over and over again; we are being shown that the Old Valdosta City Charter Mentality of 1860 is (apparently) still among us today. 

v      In addition, to the Mayor and Council:  What is so hard about making a “simple decision” to place numbers beside each council member’s name as many other Georgia Towns and Cities have already done.  This will show which district you represent.  Or is it that council members are ashamed of the people that VOTED them into office to represent them from their particular districts?

Lastly:  I thank the “COUNCIL” for replacing the worn out Georgia State Flag.  Wherein half of it was missing and this was an embarrassment to our beloved city as it flew over the Rev. Martin L. King Jr. Monument. You placed a new flag up and I thank you all for listening to the people concerns.  However, the Flag Pole flying the United States Flag; should be higher than the other two flags.  Undoubtedly the contractor failed to erect the flag poles correctly and it makes all of us “LOOK IGNORANT.”  Just lowering the (two) flags down their respective flag poles two or three feet does not bring them into compliance with correctly flying of flags.  229-251-8645, web:  http://kvci.blogspot.com/
